Teacher Burnout Remedy Available at CASP 2008

Love your teaching job, love and enjoy your students, enthusiastically tackle the challenges of creating new strategies for keeping your students engaged, and then it happens…WHAM!!!  BURNOUT!!  If you are feeling a little schizophenic about your job and the love/hate state of emotions that you sometimes may feel toward your profession, then the place for you to be is at CASP 2008 when Jean Layne (Texas A&M University) addresses this very common problem that affects even master teachers. 

Jean’s pre-conference institute, “Renewing/Sustaining Expert Enthusiasm for Teaching and Student Learning,” will present ways to help you recognize the causes of these blocks, deal with them, and then regain your passion for teaching.  You will engage in a variety of practical activities that serve to keep alive your original zeal for teaching.

Jean comes to us with exceptional credentials.  She is a Program Coordinator and Instructional Consultant for the Center for Teaching Excellence at Texas A&M Unversity.
