Director of the Miller Academic Center VMI is accepting applications for the position of Director of the Miller Academic Center. The Director will lead the enhancement and revitalization of programs offered across all academic levels, from at-risk students to high achievers. Our goal is to transform the Miller Academic Center into a national leader in undergraduate learning services. The Director will provide overall leadership and management of the Miller Academic Center’s personnel, budgets, assessment activities, and programs, including Disabilities Services. One exciting aspect of the position is the opportunity to develop meaningful partnerships between the Miller Academic Center and the Writing Center, the Math Resource Center, Academic Advising, and the academic departments. The Director will report to the Deputy Superintendent for Academics and Dean of the Faculty. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in hand and significant experience developing innovative and proactive programs promoting academic success for undergraduates at all ability levels. Preference will be given to candidates with college teaching experience; a strong record of engagement in scholarship and professional activities related to learning services; and prior experience working with faculty in diverse disciplines to promote academic success.
